Sophie Cras is Assistant Professor in Art History at Université Panthéon-Sorbonne. Her research explores the intersections between visual arts and economics in the contemporary period. Her publications include The Artist as Economist (Yale University Press, 2019), an anthology of artists’ writings about the economy (B42, 2022) and Vendre son art de la Renaissance à nos jours (coauthored with Charlotte Guichard, Le Seuil, 2025).
